The “Gently Used Books” program was initiated as a way to put books in the hands of children who might not have many books of their own.  Teachers in all grades are canvassed in an effort to solicit names of students who would benefit from this program.  EBT members meet periodically to fill gift book bags for students on the list.  Stickers are put on large Ziploc baggies, and the books are all taken from boxes of donations.  Gift bags are labeled “A Gift for You from EBT” then distributed to the students.  Approximately fifty book bags were given out this school year to children in grade K-5.
