--to be written in the composition book--

A (90-100% range)—written 12 (expectation will be 20 next quarter) entries in the composition book, each a minimum of 6 sentences in length and either collected 3 examples of effective imagery about a topic from another source, identified 5 spunky words or illustrated (photos/drawings/clipart/diagrams/nature samples?) for 3 topics.

B  (80-89% range)—written 8 entries (expectation will be 15 next quarter) in the composition book, each a minimum of 6 sentences in length, and collected an example of effective imagery about a topic from another source, identified 2 spunky words, or illustrated 1 topic. 

C  (70-79% range)—written 5 entries (expectation will be 10 next quarter) in the composition book, each a minimum of 6 sentences in length

Due dates for Personal Encyclopedia

Period 3--October 1st

Periods 1 and 2--October 2nd

Period 4 and 5--October 3rd 

Students pursuing an "A" who have met the requirements for that grade can submit their encyclopedias early for additional credit.
