Students will participate in a variety of writing activities including journaling, guided free writing, prompted exercises, analyzing writing models, drafting, critiquing and revising.  Students will keep writers' notebooks to develop vocabulary and analyze professional writers' styles.  Students will create portfolios of their work as a "final exam" and participate in publishing a class cyber journal on the www as a final project.

This course is offered as a full year English 12 course.  Students may also enroll in either semester as an elective.  it may also be offered as a distance learning course on the Saratoga Adirondack Network
