Galway Middle School is part of the Galway Central School District located in Saratoga County in upstate New York. The middle school was formed in 1999 as part of the district's capital rebuilding project. The school contains grades 6-7-8 and has an approximate enrollment of 300 students. Galway Middle School strives to incorporate the seven essential elements of effective middle schools. These elements are discussed more fully on the New York State Education Department website. Among these, Galway Middle School is guided by a mission and philosophy that seeks to ensure the success of all students while providing a supportive, yet academically challenging, school environment. Galway Middle School has three grade level teams and an encore team. Core teachers in each grade level including ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Language have common planning times to work together to assist students and to coordinate multidisciplinary projects. Core teachers also work closely with their encore counterparts to provide a comprehensive educational experience for all students.
