Let's get some bright ideas going
Project
5: Geometry/Tessellation In
this project you will use the information you have acquired the past few weeks
to make your own tessellation and create your own coordinate graph picture. There
are 2 parts to complete. The
project is due December 19 NO late projects
1.
Create your own tessellation. You
are to make your own tessellation using at least 2 polygons that
tessellate together. Remember there
should be no gaps or overlays. You can cut out and trace the polygons in your packet or you
may use my shape blocks in class.
You may not copy the tessellations that I gave you previously. You
MUST color your tessellation.
The coloring should also be a pattern.
The tessellation must cover a 8 ½ x
11 in sheet of WHITE paper. NO Lined paper. 2.
Create your own graph design. You
are to design a picture, that is legible and plot the points to form the picture
on graph paper. On a separate sheet
of paper you need to list all 20 ordered pairs (x,y) (in order) the way you
would want another person to graph and connect the dots.
If you want to lift your pencil, then write the word STOP in your list.
You must use at least 20 points, all 4 quadrants must be covered.
Don’t forget to label your x and y axis, number out to at least 3 each
way and use parenthesis in your list. Checkoff
list to hand in: ü
