PTSA Dance / Gymnastic Program Policy
 |
Full registration fee plus a $20 per class costume
deposit is required at the time of registration. All 30 minute
classes are $60 for the year. All 45 minute classes are $80 for
the year. Late registrations will not be accepted. There will be
no refunds. Costume balance bills will be distributed March.
Payment in full is required in order for your child to receive
their costume. Students who do not have a costume will NOT be
allowed to perform in the recitals. |
 |
The Galway PTSA supports the activities and endeavors
of our students, however attendance to dance classes is a vital
part of this program. Please make every effort to attend each
class. |
 |
If Galway School is cancelled or closes early due to
bad weather, then dance/gymnastic class will also be cancelled.
If classes have to be cancelled for any other reason, an
announcement will be made over the school loud speaker.
Pre-school children will be notified by phone. |
 |
Parents/guardians and younger siblings are asked not
to sit in the cafeteria during dance classes. This is
distracting for the students and teacher. You will have an
opportunity to view your child’s progress during practices in
the auditorium. |
 |
Students performing in the opening number will be
required to attend all practices |
 |
Picture dates will be scheduled for May. Even if you
are not having individual pictures taken of your child, please
make every effort to attend as there will be a class picture
taken. |
 |
Tickets for the recitals will go on sale on Prom
Friday. Tickets are $1.00 each and will be sold on a first
come/first serve basis. |
 |
Recital video order forms will be made available in
May. Please fill out order forms and send in to school with the
video fee in an envelope marked “Recital Video” c/o Anne Valente.
Video order forms will not be accepted by the instructors during
class or during the dress rehearsal or recitals. |
 |
Attendance to the dress rehearsal is required. Pizza
and water sales will be available for your dinner convenience.
|
 |
Each student is required to bring one dozen cookies to
share on both recital days. |
 |
During the recital students will not be able to leave
the back area, once they are signed in |
 |
Access to the back rooms will limited to VOLUNTEERS
only. This policy is in place for a number of reasons including,
safety issues, the consistency of the performance and to
eliminate the constant “up and down” disturbance to audience
members. It is our vision that you will sign up to help on one
day and watch the performance on the other day. Many of you have
been volunteers for many years and are well “trained” with
helping our students. However, if you feel that your child needs
“your help” on both days, then you will need to sign up to
volunteer both days and spend the entire time in the back. Sign
up sheets will be made available in May |
