- Son of Clarence Charles McChesney, who was school board member for many
years in the late 30's. After graduation, attended Spencer Business
School in Schenectady. He married Maryjane Miles in 1940 and had 8
children, 7 of which graduated from Galway School also. Duane and
his brother Dick (Richard graduate 1940) operated the Galway Feed Store in
the Village 4 corners until retirement in 1986. Duane was honored
for 50 years of service in the Galway Volunteer Fire Dept.
