I am doing very well in Charlotte, NC.   I have a band now -Tone Deaf. Been together for 5 years, now.  I also work at Philip Morris, doing computers.  Probably getting out of that to do Massage Therapy.  Going to school for six months for that starting August 30th.  So, I will be quite busy between work, school and the band.  Catchy name, eh??  E-mail me for the bands web address.

I graduated from Clarkson University in 1992 with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, I started my job at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX.   (Holly Allen (Garcia) , it's nice to see you're still there!) After enjoying city life for 2+ years, I got a job at GE Power Systems in Schenectady, NY and moved back to the Northeast. This is where I met my husband, Matt. He is also an engineer who graduated from RIT in 1993.  We got married in Sept '96 and lived in Ballston Lake until July 1998.  At this time, we elected to transfer with GE to Atlanta, GA.  We are enjoying the south and all the excitement of the city very much.

It's been a long time, and I just wanted to update my information.  My husband, Virgilio, and I have two children, David (born 4/20/00), and Isabela (born 4/15/03).  We are living in Carrollton, TX, a suburb of Dallas. I'm enjoying being a stay-at-home mom for the moment and am not sure if I'll ever return to teaching-- unless it's at the college-level (which I did part-time a couple of years ago after my son was born).

I just got back from a six-week cruise aboard the research vessel "Westward", conducting oceanographic research in the Caribbean and visiting amazing places like Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Before that I spent the better part of the winter in New Zealand doing research on some of the active volcanoes and fault systems. I will graduate in June 2002 with a BS in Geology from Union College. I will be spending this summer in Guatamala in order to begin fieldwork for my master's degree in Geochemistry/Paleoclimatology at the University of Florida.  sarah_d_newell@hotmail.com

After leaving Galway, I enlisted in the Navy, as a nuclear trained electrician. I served as a submarine crewman aboard the USS Topeka until 1994. I was discharged in 1994 so that I could attend school at the University of Maine. While at Maine, I studied Mechanical Engineering Technology and was involved in NROTC. I met my wife, Dawn, while at school, and we were married in 1996. I was commissioned as an ensign in the navy upon my graduation in 1999. I was accepted into the flight program and was winged as a Naval Aviator in December of 2000. My wife and I added to our family, with the birth of our son in April of 2001. I am currently flying EP-3's, and living with my family in Rota, Spain. In my travels, I have been arou nd the world, visiting 14 countries in the process. We expect to be in Spain until 2005, and then back to the states. I am expecting to retire in 2013 from the navy, and then returning to the northeast.

Hey long time no see/hear heh? Well I left school and never went on to college so my mom could go instead. She got her degree after dropping out of H.S. It took her 32 yrs and I was soooo proud. So I just kind of went off and partied and did some dumb things . I now have a 9 yr. old girl with mental health disability and I am a single mom. I lived in Gloversville for a few years and had an accident where I broke my spine (L1 burst fracture). However, I came out of it walking. It took me a little while to recover and get over bad stuff from the past.  But now I finally found my calling in life. I am a Statewide Systems Advocate for Northern Regional Center for Independent Living in Watertown, NY. Our center is a disability rights and advocacy center for two whole counties and parts of two more plus the St. Regis Reservation. I live in Alexandria Bay, NY. I travel quite often for my job to Washington, DC. and Albany, NY. I always thought about being a lawyer growing up but being an advocate is even better. We not only fight for people's civil rights but we teach them how to do it themselves. It is exhausting work following all legislation on local, state and national levels but darn sure worth it. If any of you needs an assist with disability issues let me know cause I would love to help or get you to the right people to help! We service all disabilities including physical health, mental health, learning, and we even have an AIDS community resources program which has an AIDS in prison program. Send me an email as I would like to hear from you.
My email at home is lady_needs_knight@yahoo.com
