- Greetings Galway!
I left IBM San Jose, California operations after receiving my MS
from Rensselaer Poly in the summer of 2003. I got my MS through
Rensselaer's distance education program. I figured after seven years
at IBM, it was time for something different.
I bar tended for awhile at a really swank club in San Francisco, and
slung coffee at Starbucks (Barista) part time while I figured out
where my thirties were going to take me. I worked at many happenings
in San Francisco on computer generated light shows at all night
dance parties, generally had a blast going to concerts, and parties.
I met my old roommate from college on the bus one late night in San
Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district! It is indeed a small world!
By January 2005, my little vacation was over, and I took an
engineering position with Cingular Wireless in their technical
switching facility in San Francisco. Right now I am trying to save
for a house or a condo here in San Francisco.
Unless Lisa Loeb, or some other arch-typical geek girl shows up in
my life, I am a committed life-long bachelor. I spend my free time
going to SF Giants games, enjoying pints of dark ale, reading,
modern art, strong coffee, and photography. Yes, still a Beatles
fan.
If anyone from the class of 1990 finds themselves in San Francisco,
drop a note. I would love to show you around. I'll never be
considered a "real San Franciscan" but I love living here, and
cannot believe I have been out here for over ten years now.

Life is wonderful! I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with my B.A. in Mass
Communications and a minor in journalism. Upon graduating I started
working at a television station, WRNN, in Kingston, N.Y. I
was there for 3 years and had a great time. While there I started out as a news producer and
then started producing Talk shows and eventually got my own!!!!!!
I hosted and produced a teen talk show called "Get With It!"
My first year with the show I won a New York State Broadcasters
award! I then got the chance to report for the station down in
Fairfield County Connecticut. I covered one of the largest trials
in the Metro New York City area in years. Competing daily with the
"big three", WNBC, WABC & WCBS from the city. What a
rush! A year later a got an offer I couldn't refuse. To
go and work for the Pataki administration. I began working for the
NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation as a Press Officer in 1998 and
I'm now still with the Department as a video production specialist
working on another talk show. I live in Guilderland with my wonderful husband Matthew
(who I met in college) and my absolutely BEAUTIFUL daughter Molly,
who'll be one year old in August. You may be able to catch my husband on Fox 23, he's a
part-time sports reporter and full-time news/sports photographer. Like I said....Life is
wonderful!

- I just wanted to say hello to all my former friends and
classmates. I hope that everyone is doing well. I graduated from
SUNY Geneseo in 1994 with a degree in elementary and special
education. I then moved to Yuma,AZ to teach in a small town near the
Mexican border. Needless to say, all those Spanish classes came in
handy! While I was there, I met my husband who was a Marine
stationed at the local base. When he got out, we moved quite a few
times. We are currently in Bakersfield, California, but are hoping
for a transfer to Memphis sometime next year. He works as an air
traffic controller. I am now a full time mother to 2 beautiful
girls. Mackenzie Rose was born on June 17,2002 and her sister ,Kaileen
Elizabeth, arrived on January 1,2004. When they get a bit older I
hope to pursue a counseling degree. Until then I am happy taking
care of my family. I would love to hear from you!
