September 11 (Wednesday)

Today we reflect, honor and commemorate the 18th year anniversary of September 11th, 2001. Many of you were not born then, but Americans will always remember that day. This was the day that our country was attacked and many lost their lives. Today, we remember the men and women who died; and those families who lost loved ones. Today, we honor those, such as firefighters, police officers, EMTs, hospital staff, and even everyday people who risked their lives to help others. Today, we celebrate America’s resilience, ability to work together, help one another, and commit to respecting all people --no matter race, culture or creed.

Please stand for a moment of silence as we honor the tens of thousands

From across America and around the world

Who came to help and to heal

Whose selflessness and resolve

Perseverance and courage

Renewed the spirit of a grieving city

Gave hope to the nation

And inspired the world.

Happy Birthday today to Keira Grupe!
