The Galway PTSA would like to thank everyone for supporting the Fall 2022 Book Fair. They could not do this without your help, and they had their best sales ever! Almost $15,000, including over $2,900 from the coin drive, was raised, all of which purchased books for homerooms. The PTSA added more money to every homeroom's total to provide books to teachers in grades 6 and 7.
The lollipop-pull earned $916 (1,832 lollipops!), earmarked for the Elementary Library, and the PTSA gave Mrs. Derwin another $750 to spend online.
Fall Book Fair activities included:
• Design an Alien Contest (entries were used to decorate the Book Fair)
• Color Your World Contest (entries were used to decorate the Book Fair)
• Scavenger Hunt at the Galway Public Library
• Homeroom Book Fair Bingo
• Coin Drive & winners' Pizza Parties
• Lollipop-pull and Squishmallow aliens raffle
• Prizes for the 5th Grade Pumpkin Contest
• Family Fun Night
All the money earned through the PTSA Book Fairs goes back into books and resources for our school. This includes a free book for every PreK-8 student (purchased by the PTSA and chosen by the student) at the Spring Book Fair.
Be sure to save the dates for the Spring Book Fair – May 4-12, 2023. The theme will be "Circus."
