HELP!

Our Deconstruction Program is looking for material donations, such as non-gas powered tools, small appliances, electronics, remote control vehicles, etc. for our kids to take apart and learn how these are made. If you have any questions please contact the library.

FYI: We cannot accept:

  • Tvs
  • Monitors
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Any gas-powered items

Astronomy ClubMay Sky Challenge: Track, record and photograph the position of the Moon each day ( as many as possible).

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 17th @ 6:30-7:30 pm. Steve Clark will give a presentation on Viewing Spring Constellations.

Memory Project

Working in partnership with The Memory Project Productions, Inc., the Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS), and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, the Galway Public Library will host “Messages From Survivors: One Family’s Holocaust Legacy,” a powerful new traveling exhibit about the Holocaust, survival, resiliency, and the importance of family and remembering during the month of May.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 11-2, which will include a presentation of “Dance: A Morale Booster.” The Library will also host related programs, activities, and displays during the month designed to educate and to spark conversation about the time period.

Mark is a famed wildlife photographer and a member of our Galway Photography Club. Come see his amazing photos.

Gaming Club – E-Sports

E-Sports Club meets the 2nd Saturday of each month @ 11:00-2:00 and May’s gaming is May 11th. We had another great time this month playing DragonBallz.

May’s featured game is DNF Dual. Come join us and learn tips about this exciting game from our DNF champion player Jake.

Play games, make friends, have fun, win prizes and enjoy snacks.


Photography Club – April’s Photo Challenge: May Flowers/Spring Showers

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 24th, 6 pm. Dave Brigham will present on a Western Cross Country Trip Travelogue.

If you have any questions on photography, please stop by between 5:30-6:00 prior to our monthly club meeting. We have experts available to answer any photography questions.

Children Books Wish List

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a new children’s book for the Galway Public Library!  Here are Books that we are hoping to acquire for our collection and these will be continuously updated.  Please let us know the title of any book(s) that you intend to purchase, and we will remove them from our list to avoid duplicates.  You may email Julie Pasieka or call 518-882-6385 to let her know the title.  Please drop books off at the library and let us know that they came from the Wish List.  You can also request that we add a bookplate to the book to recognize your donation.  Your support is greatly appreciated!


The Galway Public Library Foundation website is now available.

We are looking for a volunteer interested in astronomy to assist us in organizing agendas for our new astronomy club.

Resources and Information

In cooperation with the Saratoga County Department of Health, Galway Public Library has a NaloxBox hanging in the lobby.  The box contains doses of free nasal Narcan spray, an emergency intervention tool to reverse an opioid overdose.  Doses are free to members of the community.
