Meetings of the Board of Education are generally held on the second Thursday and fourth Thursday of each month. A Board meeting calendar is established and published prior to the beginning of each school year and is available in the District Clerk’s office located in the Jr./Sr. High School District Office.
Most meetings are held in the library of the Galway Jr./Sr. High School located at 5317 Sacandaga Road, Galway, NY. The Board encourages citizens to attend and become more involved in their school. In most cases Board meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are chaired by the President of the Board of Education or, if absent, the Vice President. The Superintendent of Schools and the District Clerk join the Board members at the meeting table.
