Galway CSD Finances Receive Clean Audit

Galway CSD Finances Receive Clean Audit
Posted on 10/25/2019
The independent public accounting firm of West and Company, CPAs, recently completed its audit of the Galway Central School District finances for the school fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2019. The audit report stated that the District had received an unqualified opinion; commonly referred to as a "clean audit." West and Company presented its report during the Board of Education meeting on September 19, 2019.

It is the goal of the school district each year to achieve this audit result.

According to West and Company in the audit report, a clean opinion means that the combined financial statements "present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Galway Central School District at June 30, 2019 and the results of its operations for the year then ended, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles."

A copy of the audit report is available for review in the District Business Office or the Office during 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, or can be accessed by clicking here
