ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS No matter how you felt on Monday, Tuesday is your chance for a fresh, EAGLE NATION!!!!!! Another day and more sun with no rain, it's a win so far. There was a lot of excitement on the diamond and track last night. Check out the results below. The Varsity Softball team moved up to #8 in the State Rankings. The week continues with a lot of action, so get out to support our Eagles. A reminder that this is the last week for JV and Varsity Baseball and Softball regular season games, as Sectionals start next week. Hoping for good weather for the rest of the week, but it is not looking promising. Mother Nature has been stubborn this Spring, so make sure you keep checking for changes and updates, as we are working hard to get games completed before Sectional deadlines. The Blue Jean Mile is coming up on Thursday, so come out and support a great cause. Today at 2:30 is signing day for a few of our seniors.
Check out the schedule below for the season (please know that weather can cause dates and times to be subject to change for games and events).
Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!
Help Us Shape the Next Capital Project |
We invite Galway CSD community members to help us shape the next Capital Project by participating in the following public input sessions in the Junior/Senior High School Library:
- Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for an abbreviated session called Coffee and Questions during the Galway Booster Club Car Wash and Can Drive fundraiser
Following the defeat of the Capital Project that was proposed in December 2023, the Board of Education Facilities Committee members have been listening to residents’ concerns and discussing the infrastructure needs that were not included in the 2016 Capital Project.
- The majority of these needs were identified as critical in the district’s most recent Building Condition Survey (completed in 2020)
- Some of these needs include work that voters passed in the 2021 Small Capital Project that focused on the bus garage, but could not be completed due to cost escalation during and after the COVID-19 pandemic
For archival information on all of our recent Capital Projects, and information on the work that is being considered for the next Capital Project, please click on the Facilities webpage here
Galway Athletic Booster Club Fundraiser The Galway Athletic Booster Club will be holding a Bake Sale, Bottle Drive, and Carwash fundraiser on Saturday, May 24th, and Sunday, May 25th, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. both days.

NHS and NJHS host a Chicken BBQ on the day of the budget vote. Please order ahead.

Blue Jean Mile is next week:

Fun fact of the day: The real name for a hashtag is an octothorpe. The 'octo' refers to the eight points in the symbol, but according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the 'thorpe' part is a mystery.
