Wednesdays are a reminder that you're closer to the finish line than you were on Monday, EAGLE NATION! We hope you enjoyed your snow day yesterday. Thank you, Superintendent Mr. Miller. We are full bore with athletic events over the next couple of weeks, so make sure to check out the schedules below. 98% of farms in New York are family owned, and there are only 30,650 farms in New York, down from 33,438 in 2017. The weather looks to turn bitterly cold over the next few days, so make sure those tanks are filled, and you are bundled up.

- In 1856, Irishman James Kelly and British soldier Jack Smith fought the longest bare-knuckle boxing bout - 6 hours and 15 minutes, at Fiery Creek, Victoria, Australia.
- In 1901, at the MLB meeting, the Milwaukee Brewers franchise was officially dropped from the American League and replaced by the St. Louis Browns.
- In 1956, basketball icon Wilt Chamberlain made his much-anticipated varsity debut, scoring 52 points and grabbing 31 rebounds, breaking both all-time Kansas records in an 87–69 win against Northwestern
- In 1968, the MLB Rules Committee adopted a series of changes designed to increase the amount of offensive run production, decrease strike zone size, and lower the height of the pitcher's mound from 15" to 10"; the changes were successful.
