ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Happy Tuesday, EAGLE NATION! Start your day with a grateful heart, and watch the positivity flow into the nooks and crannies of your life. It's Festive Fit day for Spirit Week here at the Eagles Nest. Can you believe Mr. Kirvin didn't dress up today? Make sure you stop in to let him know he's not being festive. He said he didn't have any ugly sweaters for the day. Honestly, all he needed to do was open his closet, and he would have found many to wear. We are coming up on the new moon phase, and also the shortest day of the year is fast approaching. We had a lot of exciting action on the hardwood last night. Check out the highlights below. The action continues all week, so make sure to check out the schedules below, too. Our Cheerleaders did an amazing job with the elementary students last night on their dance routine that they learned during the cheer clinic on Sunday. Great job to all the students who participated.
Old Man Winter has started strong this winter as he just keeps bringing snow and frigid cold air. It looks like some more snow towards the end of the week. It feels like February weather already this winter. Think Spring!
Two dairy cows produce enough milk to make about three pounds of butter or nine pounds of cheese every day. Milk is a source of calcium that helps develop strong bones and teeth.
Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!
Message from the Galway Youth Commission
The Galway Youth Commission has first-come, first-served, full-access individual day passes to the Fulton County YMCA for over the holiday break! Please pick up from the Galway Town Hall on Tuesday, December 16th, through Thursday, December 18th, between 7:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. If you can’t make it on those days and times, please text Samantha Price (518) 866-4360, and she can meet you.
Fun fact of the day: Cows can walk up stairs but aren't able to go down them without help.
Did you know? In the original rules of basketball, dribbling wasn't allowed. Instead, you had to throw the ball to another player to keep the game going.

- The Galway Modified Girls Basketball team edged out a tall and tough BKW Bulldogs team in a back-and-forth showdown that came down to the final seconds. Defense once again set the tone, led by Brooklynee Taylor’s relentless on-ball pressure and multiple steals. With 6 seconds remaining, Galway held a one-point lead. A late turnover gave BKW a transition opportunity, but a smart foul forced free throws instead of an easy basket. The Bulldogs were unable to convert on both attempts, and Gracie Gregory tipped the rebound to Keilegh Miller, who held on to secure the win. Gracie Gregory led team scoring with 9, Brooklynee Taylor had 5, and Ava Grisanti, Chelsea Reome, and Keilegh Miller all chipped in with 2. Elizabeth VanEss and Gracie Gregory both had 7 rebounds. Great team win!
