ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

It's Friday! Remember, you are amazing, capable, and worthy of all the good things.  Enjoy your break, EAGLE NATION!  We wrap up Spirit Week today with Blue and Gold Day.  It is awesome to see all the Blue and Gold strolling the classrooms and hallways today.  Mr. Kirvin has his Blue and Gold quarter zip on today.  There was a Mr. Kirvin sighting at the Modified Basketball game last night.  Here is the big question: Will there be a Kirivin sighting at the Girls' Modified Game on Saturday?  Make sure you all stop in to wish Mr. Kirvin Happy Holidays today, as he will miss everyone over break.  Who will get pied in the face today at the Pep Rally?

We had some action on the hardwood last night, so make sure you check out the highlights below.  The new moon is tonight.  Also, we are two days away from the first official day of Winter and the shortest day of the year.
 Make sure you check out the events coming up and over break.
Old Man Winter has brought us warmth and a lot of rain today. Make sure you have an umbrella.  Let's hope for green grass. Think Spring!

Girls Basketball Highlights

The Galway Girls Modified Basketball team battled hard but came up short against 28-16 to Middleburgh. Facing a tough Middleburgh zone, the Eagles were able to put up 16 points. Lily Chevalier led the way inside with 9 points and was solid at the line, going 3 for 4 on free throws. Gracie Gregory added 5 points, and Brooklynee Taylor chipped in with 2.

The girls will look to bounce back as they face Northville at home on Saturday.

Boys Basketball Highlights

The Galway Modified 7th-grade boys squeaked past Berne Knox Westerlo, 27-23, on Thursday at Galway High School.  Trailing 1-0, Galway went on a 7-point run to take the lead. Galway had a strong first half, leading 13-7 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory. Trailing 16-9, Berne Knox Westerlo went on a 10-2 run to take the lead.  Galway played particularly well in the first quarter, outscoring Berne Knox Westerlo 7-1.  Jameson Roberts and Jordan Manasseri each scored 7 points to lead Galway. CJ Anderson made 6 of 10 free throws, while the team attempted 14. Jameson Roberts collected 8 boards to lead Galway on the glass. CJ Anderson (6 points), Jaeden Edwards (5 points), and Johnny Schaperjahn (2 points) also pitched in for Galway.
