ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS
Breaking News, EAGLE NATION! No Mercy Mac signed her contract with the GTA at 2:27 p.m. Friday. Just in time to attend the team's first practice of the year. My inside sources said she was going a 110% out there as she wants to carry us to a victory. Happy Tuesday! Hold onto positive things that elevate your spirit and be with positive people. We hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend and you were able to get caught up on rest. Thank you to everyone who helped support our Coaches vs. Cancer week last week. It was a great success for a great cause.
Can you believe we are only three and a half weeks away from the end of the Winter Sports Season? It'll be over before we know it. Make sure you come out to see some events. The JV and Varsity Boys Basketball Teams play at home tonight. I even heard there might be an appearance by Slammin' Jammin' Kirvin.
Don't forget we have a lot going on currently at Eagle Nation. We have raffle tickets (only 5 dollars) for a Syracuse vs. North Carolina Basketball game for sale for a truly great cause. Please let me know if you want to buy some tickets.
The Winter Olympics are right around the corner. Curling kicks off on February 4th and continues daily until February 22nd, which ends with the Women's Gold Medal Game. The USA Men's Hockey team kicks off on February 12th, and the USA Women's Hockey team opens on the 5th. Here is the Olympics Competition Schedule: https://www.olympics.com/en/milano-cortina-2026/schedule/overview
Ladies and Gentlemen, we might have some bad news. Swishin' Schwab might be out for the GTA vs. DJs game due to a possible trip to the IR. She tweaked her hamstring some and is being held out until we can get a diagnosis.
Our next member of the Teachers Squad comes in at 6'0" and is a Power Forward. He was a baseball star in High School, including once throwing a no-hitter in Little League. He also played Soccer and Basketball in High School. He loves listening to Sports Podcasts while driving and in his free time.
Who knows our next member??? Tune in tomorrow to find out. We are working hard to fill out our roster and sign more talent before the game.

Teachers vs. DJ's Roster to date:
- Alley-Ooping Adams

Old Man Winter looks to be angry over the weekend, as Arctic Cold as we will be in the double-digit negatives. Make sure you are bundled up and have your hats and gloves with you at all times. Think Spring!
Cows have incredible peripheral vision with eyes on both sides of their heads; cows have a field of vision of almost 360 degrees… that’s about twice as much as a human’s field of vision! This panoramic vision allows cows to see in all directions without moving their heads. This way, they can always be aware of their surroundings, even when their head is down grazing.
Remember, keep it classy, Eagle Nation!

Randall Syracuse Ticket Raffle
Eagle Nation, we are looking for your help!!!! Tragedy struck an athlete's family in our league, and we are helping the Canajoharie Booster Club sell raffle tickets to a Syracuse Men's Basketball game through our Booster Club. One of the Canajoharie players, Senior Dillan Randall, tragically lost his step-mother, Braylynn Fahy, in a car accident on December 1st. Dillan is the same player whose father was killed last January in a tragic accident while repairing his mailbox. Dillan and his two younger brothers, who attend Fort Plain, have suffered unimaginable loss in less than a year, losing both their father and mother/stepmother. To show our support, we are joining forces to raffle off four tickets and a parking pass to the Syracuse versus North Carolina men's basketball game on February 21st (flyer attached) that were graciously donated by Empower Federal Credit Union! Tickets are $5 each and will be available for purchase at all home games or by reaching out to Coach Glenn (mglenn@galwaycsd.org). The winner will be drawn on February 13th at halftime of the Galway Varsity Boys at the Canajoharie Basketball Game. The winner does not need to be present to claim the tickets! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated directly to the family.
Booster Club Bundt Cake Fundraiser The booster club is selling bundt cakes. Please see an athlete if you are interested in ordering
