Girls Basketball
The Galway girls traveled to FMCC to play OESJ on Saturday, the 14th. The team battled the whole game, but OESJ was hot from the three-point line, making ten three-pointers. The Eagles lost 55-50, but it was a historic night of achievement for the Galway Girls Basketball program, as Kiera Allen finished with 20 points to become the first in the girls’ program history to score over 1,000 points!! Congrats, Kiera and team, on a great accomplishment. The team finished 14-6 in the regular season, which is the best since the 2016 season. The team now plays OESJ again in the rubber match as they are 1-1 this season against each other heading into tomorrow's (2/24) match in the opening round of Sectionals. They host the Wolves tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.

Cows might not be queueing up for the therapist’s couch, but they do communicate their emotions. They use long, high-pitched vocalisations to express negative feelings, such as distress, and shorter, lower-pitched vocalisations to communicate positive feelings, like when they are reunited with a calf that wandered off.
