Cows can enjoy being petted and cared for. Left to behave naturally, cows show a lot of physical affection. They like to lick each other, especially on the neck, to form bonds. The feeling of being stroked is relaxing and comforting. Humans can also use touch to help calm cows. By stroking a cow on the neck, we activate this bonding sensation and reduce their fear of humans, though it’s important not to stroke them in the wild.

Thus ensued the military campaign known as the Hundred Days, during which Napoleon attempted to rule France and command its army once more. He was, however, no match for the duke of Ellington's troops, and his leadership ended with his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo and banishment to the island of St. Helena.
