ANNOUNCEMENTS/TODAY'S EVENTS

Welcome back, Eagle Nation!  We make the turn into the final school year stretch as we begin the fourth quarter. Happy Monday; it's time to motivate and make dreams and goals happen.  Spring sports kick into full gear this week, as there is just over a month left of Spring sports.  Team clothing shops close tonight, so make sure you get your order in ASAP!  We had some action over break, so check out the highlights below.  As we get into the final stretch of the school year, remember that there are a lot of events, so keep tuned.

HIGHLIGHTS

Softball

The Varsity Softball team defeated Hoosic Valley 6-4 over break.  The Eagles jumped out in front early as Kiera Allen hit a bases-loaded triple in the 1st inning.  Rylie Glenn added two RBIs for the Eagles.  Emma Menge went the distance in the circle, striking out 12.

The Varsity Softball team dropped a heartbreaker to Niskayuna Saturday night under the lights at Luther Forest as they fell on a walk-off in the bottom of the last inning.  The Eagles fell behind 1-0, but quickly answered as Emma Menge singled and Courtney Smith drove her in with a double.  Both teams stayed even until the bottom of the 7th, and a runner on, Niskayuna got a walk-off triple to give them a 2-1 win.  Emma Menge went the distance in the circle, striking out 10 and only giving up 3 hits.  The Eagles move to 2-1 on the season and host Burnt Hills today.
  • The JV Softball team opened its season with a 28-11 win over CFP.  Gracie Gregory led the way for the Eagles as she struck out 16 in the circle and added 3 hits at the plate. Katy Ferguson added two hits, three RBIs, and five runs scored.  The Eagles are 1-0 and travel to Burnt Hills today.

Baseball

The Varsity baseball opened its season with a few non-league games.  The Eagles fell in all three games to start the season 0-3.  The Eagles open league play today as they travel to Schoharie to play under the lights.

  • The JV Baseball team fell to CFP 2-8 in their opener.  Camden Berlin and Jake Page led the Eagles with two hits apiece.
