Happy Wednesday, Eagle Nation! A good Wednesday is a day when we do things well. It's Tax Day!!! Hopefully, everyone has them done.
Track and Field had a great showing last night. See the highlights below. The JV Baseball game got rained out in the top of the 3rd, and will be completed as part of a double-header when they go to Northville.Spring sports are in full gear, and it's crazy to think there are just over a month left.
As we get into the final stretch of the school year, remember that there are a lot of events, so keep tuned in

Track & Field
Last night, the Galway boys and girls varsity track teams ran against two combined teams: Canjo/Fort Plain and Holy Trinity.
The Girls lost to Canjo/Ft. Plain 95 to 45 but defeated Holy Trinity 88 to 26.
The boys also lost to Canjo/FortPlain 87 to 49, but also defeated Holy Trinity 86 to 33.
For the girls:
Josie Price won the 800, the 1500, and the high jump
Nadia Lebate won the 400 and came in 2nd in the 100 and 200
Ailey Nelson placed in the 1500 and 3000
Elenor Douglas placed in the 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, and in the pole vault
Mae Budris placed in the shot and discus
For the boys:
Galway swept the high jump with Jameson Wagner winning. Gabe Aldrich and Issac Schaperjahn placed 2nd and 3rd
Gabe Aldrich won the 100 with Jameson Wagner coming in 2nd
Jameson Wagner won the 200 with Gabe Aldrich coming in 2nd
Nathaniel McDevitt won the 3200
The 4x100 relay team of Wagner, Aldrich, St. Louis, and Eaton also won.

- In 2019, the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral caught fire during a restoration campaign, and the blaze destroyed most of the cathedral's roof, the 19th-century spire, and some of the rib vaulting. A restoration project began almost immediately, and the cathedral was reopened to the public in 2024.
- In 2013, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, two homemade bombs were detonated in the crowd of spectators; 3 people were killed, and more than 260 were wounded in the terrorist attack.

In 1912, the British luxury passenger liner Titanic sank en route to New York City from Southampton in England, after striking an iceberg during its maiden voyage. Of the approximately 2,200 people on board, some 1,500 people died, with the ship's crew and third-class passengers experiencing the most losses.
