It's Monday, time to motivate and make dreams and goals happen. Let's go, Eagle Nation! We have flipped the calendar to June. The school year end is coming faster and faster.
The Varsity Softball won the Section 2 Class C Championship on Saturday, defeating the #9th-ranked team in the state, the Greenwich Witches, 10-7. They advance to the State Tournament for the first time in school history. They travel to Plattsburgh to take on the #7 team in the state, Ticonderoga, in the State Quarterfinals on Friday, June 5th.
Congratulations to the Varsity Softball Team as they won the Section 2 Class C Championship!!!!!!!! They move on to the State Tournament for the first time in school history!!!!


SPECTATOR BUS to Softball State Quarterfinals!!!!!
There will be a spectator bus to Plattsburgh High School on Friday, June 5, 2026, to watch the Girls' Varsity Softball State Quarterfinals Game. The bus will be leaving school at 12:45 pm and returning to the school at approximately 9:30 pm. Students who are on the Ineligibility List will not be allowed to sign up for the bus. There will be a cost of $10.00 to get into the game. You can purchase your ticket in advance at GoFan. Please see the link below. The first fifty (50) students who turn in their permission slips will be able to ride the bus. Permission slips and the sign-up list are at the High School Office.

- We have the following athletes advancing to the State Qualifying Meet this week. Here is the information that we have so far: the State Qualifying Meet is for anyone who finished 1st or 2nd in their Sectionals event or met the state qualifying meet standards. It is a two-day event with the different events divided over the two days, which will be Wednesday and Thursday next week (June 3rd & 4th) at Shenendehowa High School. As soon as a ticket link is available, we will share it.

Softball Highlights
Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team as they defeated the #9 team in the state, Greenwich, 10-7 in the Section 2 Class C finals to capture their first sectional title since 1988 and move onto the state tournament for the first time in school history. Courtney Smith led the Eagles with a triple and a two-run home run as she finished with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Rylie Glenn added two RBIs, while Sadie Stead and Avery Menge had two hits apiece. Kiera Allen had an RBI and two runs scored, and Kristina Becker added an RBI single. Lily Bain also singled for the Eagles. Emma Menge battled in the circle all night as she went the distance to pick up the win while striking out 7. Kenzie Gardiner made an incredible catch in right field late in the game to keep Greenwich from tacking on any more runs. It’s just the second Sectional championship for Softball in school history. The Eagles move on to the State Quarterfinals on Friday as they travel to Plattsburgh to take on the #7 team in the state, Ticonderoga, at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles move to 19-3 on the year.
