Cross Country Highlights
The Varsity runners also had a great race. Nathaniel McDevitt took 3rd overall against Mayfield, Cobleskill-Richmondville, and Holy Trinity. He finished 6 seconds behind Mayfield's number one powerhouse. Nathanial was one of 7 of the 9 runners who ran this course last year who improved by over a minute...some a full two minutes on this course! Shout out to Grayson Eagan and Cullen St. Louis specifically! Unfortunately, the team still lost to Mayfield 21 to 34. However, the competition with Cobleskill-Richmondville was fun to see unfolding because the score was tied at 28 between the two teams once the places of their top 5 runners and our top 5 runners were scored. Fortunately, Tyler Bombard and Nate Mele, with his much-improved time on this course, took 11th and 12th place for Galway, sealing our win over their runners in 13th and 14th place. The girls defeated Holy Trinity and Mayfield but lost to Cobleskill-Richmondville. Ailey Nelson improved her time on this course by 2 minutes and took 4th place overall. Eleanor Douglas took 7th place. The team has a home meet on Tuesday out on the trails. Come cheer them on!
It was a sunny but cold and blustery day on the hilltop for our dual meet at Cobleskill-Richmondville on Tuesday. The wind could not stop the train that is Wyatt Slosek. He won his second boys modified dual meet of the season. He ran 1.5 miles in 10:59, over 1 minute faster than the same course last year. Nicola Patterson had a great race too and didn't wear jeans this time. That made his time more than 5 minutes faster than last year. He ran 11:37. Cooper Patterson was close behind him in 6th place. Our girls modified runners ran against a stacked Cobleskill-Richmondville team. Elizabeth VanNess led the girls in 14:11, followed by Railyn Loya and Iris Girard.

Girls Soccer Highlights
Congratulations to the Modified Soccer team on their big win! They went to Hadley and brought back a huge win! The final score was 6-0. Players Isla Viana, June Robison, Olivia Palmateer, and Lindsie Grignon all scored a point. June and Isla were starving for goals, so they both made 2! New rookie goalie Anna Ahsmann had multiple saves, keeping the goal line clean. The girls will be at it again next week against Fonda!
