- Parent drop-off for students will now begin at 7:15 a.m. Students in grades Pre-K-5 will be directed to the elementary gym, and students in grades 6-12 will be directed to the Jr. Sr. High School cafeteria. The elementary gym will be divided into two stations, one for grades PreK-2, and one for grades 3-5. All students who would like to eat breakfast will be escorted to the cafeteria at 7:35 a.m.
- When children are not riding the bus due to illness or appointments, etc., parents must make the changes in School Dismissal Manager. This applies to all students Pre-K-12 for morning, afternoon, and the late run. If you need help setting up School Dismissal Manager, please contact Building Secretaries, Mary Henry at the Jr. Sr. High School (518-882-1033 x3200) or Jennifer Butler at the Joseph Henry Elementary School (518-882-1033 x4240).
- Bus Transportation is provided for all students 4 years of age and above. Three-year-olds attending our PreK are transported by parents only. One week prior to your child turning 4, please contact the Transportation Department and complete this Transportation Form.
- If your child is not being picked up/dropped off at their home residence, this form must be completed in its entirety.
- There is no idling when waiting in the parent drop-off/pick-up lines, at both the Elementary and Junior/Senior High School buildings.

Residents of the Galway Central School District who are eligible for transportation to a non-public school under the 15-mile limit (students must reside within 15 miles of the non-public school), are required to file an application each year for such transportation in accordance with Chapter 363 of the NYS Laws of 1960.
Residents of the Galway Central School District requesting such transportation for the following school year must submit a written request to the Galway Central School District by April 1. Please click here for the request form.

Students must be at their bus stop 5-minutes prior to pick up time.

Students must remain in their seats while the bus is in motion. Arms, head, and hands are to remain inside the bus at all times.

Students who must cross are to walk 15-feet in front of the bus and only after the bus driver has motioned for them to cross.

Electronic devices are not allowed to be used on the bus unless the student has prior approval from the administration.

There is no eating or drinking on the bus.

- Large instruments or any other large items will not be allowed on the bus as they are a safety hazard.
- Students are picked up at the same location five days a week, and are dropped off five days a week. The pickup location may be different from the drop-off location.
- When your child/ren are not riding the bus, make sure to enter the change in School Dismissal Manager. If having difficulty, contact the Transportation Department at (518) 882-1077 by 6:30 a.m. to notify them of the change and please contact the building main office for assistance with School Dismissal Manager.
- Clearly display your house number so that it may be seen by the bus driver.
- For Pre-K through grade 2, please submit the names of any adult who will meet the bus during the afternoon run on the 2024-2025 Transportation Form below.
- Your child/ren's bus driver will contact you during the last week of August to inform you of approximate pickup and drop-off times.
